Tyreke Wilson Wins 100m Bronze at World U18 Championships

Tyreke Wilson has won the men’s 100m bronze medal on Wednesday, the opening day of the IAAF World Under 18 Championships Nairobi 2017 at the Kasarani Stadium.
It was 1-2 for South Africa, with Tshenolo Lemao taking gold in 10.57 and teammate Retshidisitswe Mlenga, second in 10.61. Jamaica’s Tyreke Wilson was third in 10.65. The wind was -0.3 (m/s). Tyreke Wilson, the fastest in the field with a personal best of 10.34, was the favorite to win.

Kevona Davis of Jamaica cruised to victory in the fourth and final heat of the girls’ 100m in 11.88 (-0.4m/s). The 15-year-old phenom Second place in the heat was China’s Luying Gong in 12.03 with Sade Amore de Sousa of Namibia third in 12.12.
